The Literature group meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the home of one of our members. The members meet at the Library in Maesteg for 2pm which is a perfect setting for gathering ideas and thoughts on a wide range of literature. The group co-ordinator is Jane
At the start of the year our members each suggests a book for the rest of the group to read. Of these we select six titles to be read over the course of the year. We assign one book every other month which we all read and then meet to discuss. Often our opinions are varied and diverse which leads to entertaining bit respectful exchanges.
The group reads a wide range of titles and topics during the year.

Welshness. Thursday 19th March
March is the month we celebrate our Welsh heritage, and you won’t need reminding, Welsh literature is absolutely fantastic! It’s a treasure trove of classic and contemporary voices, from poetry to fiction and drama. So, we curious to know, what’s your current favourite piece of fiction by a Welsh author, poet, or writer?
